It's a sad fact that it's much easier to organise a holiday in Benidorm
than it is in Wales. But a holday in Benidorm is unlikely to bring
the same variety of experience - particularly outdoor and educational
activity for children - that can be found in Wales.
The Net-Cymru site aims to put forward the advantages that Wales has to
offer whilst making it as easy as possible to plan and organise travel.
An important first step in this direction is the establishment of diaries
of events - organised by theme and organised by region. If people can see
that there are worthwhile things to do they are far more likely to undertake
a journey.

The chances are that what you are offering is not just an anonymous product
but a personal service. Perhaps you have already developed loyal customers
who appreciate that they know you personally.
Advertising on Net-Cymru permits you to project the "personality" of your
business to people who might be coming to your area. You are freed from
the cost restrictions of conventional advertising which limit you to the
barest of messages.
A standard Net-Cymru advert will consist of a colour photograph and about
two screenfuls of text at a cost of just £25.00 per year.

Of course visitors to the site will need to learn about you when they
show an interest in your area.
Of course, like other business listings you will be listed under the
appropriate category - and you are unlikely to be alone.
What makes Net-Cymru unique is that it puts information abut businesses
within easy reach of site visitors who have looked up events or attractions
in your area. A "Whats nearby?" message will appear with the opportunty
to get information about local businesses (Accomodation, Restaurants and
Pubs, Crafts and Produce, etc.) with a single mouse click.
First to Advertise = Top of List
Lists of businesses will be compiled according to type and location. As
with any list there is some advantage to being at the top.
Although a comprehensive alphabetical list will be produced, the most useful
lists will be focussed by type of business and location. These short lists
will be presented in the order that businesses advertise. If you advertise
before your competitors you will stay above them in every list, so long
as you keep renewing each year. You will not be overshadowed by a business
with a name like "Aardvark Limited" or by someone who can afford to pay
more on display adverising than you.
New Technology - Old-Fashioned Values
The Top of the List principle is based on a value which is rapidly
disappearing from today's business environment - loyalty matters.
You will find flashier websites but none where the functionality has been
so finely designed to meet the needs of visitor and advertiser alike.

Tell Net-Cymru about attractions and events in your area. Events and
attractions bring people - and that's good news for your business.
Display Net-Cymru posters. Even if you don't advertise, your business
will get a mention (name, type of business and phone number) on the site.
If you do advertise, the cost will be reduced £5.00.
Advertise on Net-Cymru. Remember the whole site is driven by advertising
from small businesses.
Tell Net-Cymru about events and attractions near you. Not only will
it increase the chances of people visiting your area, but also it will
be more likely that site visitors will see your advert.
Look on Net-Cymru for things to do. The site is there for everyone -
you might as well use it yourself!
