Trains in Wales


Background

  • At present train services in Wales are run by four different companies, although there are plans to unify the service.
  • There are no trains linking North Wales with South Wales.
  • There are services along the North Coast and South Coast and two other East-West routes.
  • Some major towns such as Cardigan, Lampeter, Brecon and Mold have no rail service
