Ffaldau

Field operated by Ffaldau using recycled materials and offering an important community focus and retraining in a deprived area of the Rhondda Fach. A careful look at the picture shows a novel use for used tyres. Ffaldau, Blaenllechau, Rhondda Fach.

The group, based at the Bell Centre in Blaenllechau, recycle green waste into compost and wormeries to improve the soil and to mulch over ground to prevent moisture loss and excessive weeds and also to fill land which has eroded or needs revitalising for future hedging and tree planting.
