Iron Workers Cottages The conditions of ironworkers can be visualised from this row of cottages in Merthyr Tydfil. These surviving cottages were unusually large for the time of construction - early 19th Century.

Chapel Row - Number 4 houses a museum to the composer Joseph Parry.



Haunted House - Llancaiach Fawr

Wales has more than its share of haunted houses.

The most famous is the Tudor Manor House - Llancaiach Fawr, near Nelson, about 7 miles south of Merthyr Tydfil.

The BBC have even set up a webcam to catch the ghosts - without success up till now.

The house can be visited and you can be entertained by staff in period costume. Entry fee.
